The crime victim attorneys at Deitch + Rogers are pleased to announce that Andy Rogers has been selected to serve on the Resumption of Jury Trial Committee for Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit which was formed in response to Chief Justice Harold D. Melton’s directive in the Sixth Extension Georgia Supreme Court’s Statewide Judicial Emergency Order on September 10, 2020 for DeKalb County.
As directed, the Committee will develop detailed guidelines for the safe resumption of jury trials in the county utilizing the Georgia Supreme Court’s “Guidance for Resuming Jury Trials” and will issue a final jury trial plan for DeKalb County.
The jury trial is the most important part of the civil justice system. Ensuring that the citizens of DeKalb County are protected with a comprehensive plan for the safe resumption of jury trials is of the utmost importance during these unprecedented times.
